is a behavior pattern that is common among people who are under distress. Many people encounter disorders in their life
that affect the way they feel, act, and think. The
common among them are social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder,
post-traumatic stress disorder, and separation anxiety disorder.
The person who is affected by this
disorder feels fearful of being negatively judged or being publicly embarrassed
by their actions. They are usually scared
of intimacy, humiliation, and stage fright.
As a result of this, their normal life is hindered.
People who suffer from this repeat
something over and again. For example: checking the stove or lock several times,
and obsessed with cleanliness: like washing hands repetitively. These people know that their obsessions or
compulsions are unreasonable, but since it helps alleviate their anxiety, they
do it over and over again.
Army personnel who return from war,
women who were raped, and people who experienced sudden death or accidents are
affected by this. This is a serious disorder
that can lead to suicide. They suffer
from flashbacks of those disturbing incidents they experienced in the past.
DISORDER: Here, the person experiences a very high
amount of anxiety when he/she is removed or separated from a place or person
that gave them a sense of security or safety.
It usually results in panic.
